Description:

Provides multiple services to all age groups from prenatal to senior citizens, particularly, low-income families, children in need of protection, the aged, the disabled. Offers programs that preserve families and empower self-sufficiency.

Services include:

• Food Assistance Program - Helps qualified individuals and families buy food.
• Medicaid Program - Offers medical assistance to individuals and families who quality.
• Colorado Works/TANF - Provides financial and employment support for low-income families.
• Adult Financial Programs - Offers financial assistance to low-income adults, including old age pension, Aid to the needy disabled, aid to the blind, Supplemental Security Income/Colorado Supplement (SSI/CS), and long-term care.
• Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) - Provides assistance with childcare costs for eligible families.
• Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) - Provides assistance with heat costs (application period is November 1st to April 30th each year)

Application Process: All members of the public must wear a face mask while in the county buildings. Although is is possible to do in person interviews (utilizing a plexi-glass barrier) it is encouraged to use of online or paper applications. Paper applications in both Fairplay and Bailey offices are available. For the safety of employees and the public, it is required that no more than 2 people in the lobby waiting area at one time.
