Youth Mentoring

Recruits, screens, and trains volunteer mentors and matches them in one-to-one relationships with children facing adversity. By partnering with parents/guardians, volunteers, and others in the community the program is accountable for each child achieving:

• Higher aspirations
• Greater confidence
• Better relationships
• Avoidance of risky behaviors
• Educational success

Adult individuals must be:

• Aged 21 or older
• Willing to meet with their Little Brother or Little Sister
• Has a safe driving record
• Must pass a background check conducted by our staff.

Youth individuals must be:

• Aged 8 to 12 at the time of enrollment
• From a single-parent household, kinship care, or has a parent currently incarcerated or has been incarcerated during the child's lifetime
• Low income or facing adversity
• Interest in participating in the program
• Active-duty or killed-in-action military family
