The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) is a federally funded program that helps eligible Colorado households with a portion of their winter home heating costs. Applications are accepted each year from November 1st - April 30th. The benefit does not cover the full cost of heating and is offered once per season. LEAP payments are made directly to the household’s primary heating fuel vendor or utility. Household types may include those using fuels such as:
