Description: Colorado Works/Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) is a federal program that provides cash assistance to eligible low-income pregnant women and single and two-parent families with dependent children while working to secure or improve employment and achieve self-sufficiency. Undocumented immigrants are not eligible to receive Colorado Works/TANF, but US born citizen children of undocumented immigrants may be eligible for Colorado Works/TANF if the family meets all other eligibility criteria. Minor parents must attend high school or a GED program and live within an approved setting.
