Description: Child Protection Services (CPS) provides: - A hotline for reporting suspected child abuse or neglect or parents wanting to make a report of "Beyond Control of Parent". - Services include assessment of the initial referral, assignment of an appropriate response time, and consultation with the family to determine the nature of the problem and do an initial case planning, and emergency placement services if the child is removed from the family by law enforcement. - Investigation of abuse/neglect reports. - Coordinating services for families to prevent out of home placement. - Working with the Court system to reunify families.
