Description: The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) provides: - Assistance for low-income working families with childcare expenses. - Children must be under the age of 13 and are required to be U.S. citizens or legal resident aliens. - Families receiving assistance are expected to pay a parent fee to the provider at the first of each month. This fee is from 7 to 14 percent of the household's gross income, plus a small increase for each additional child. - The funding for the Child Care Assistance Program is a limited dollar amount per year, so a qualified family might be placed on a waiting list until sufficient funding becomes available.
