Description: Provides 4 Medicare Savings program to individuals receiving Social Security and/or Medicare. QDWI (Qualified Disabled and Working Individual) - Not eligible for SSDI because of earnings - Cannot be eligible for any other Health First Colorado category - Working disabled person under 65 - Lost premium-free Part A when returning to work - Aren't getting medical assistance Benefit: - Covers Medicare Part A QI-1 (Qualified Individuals) - Must currently be eligible for Medicare Part A - Must meet income requirements Benefit: - Pays Medicare Part B premium - Benefit may go retroactive 90 days SLMB (Special Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary) - Must currently be eligible for Medicare Part A - Must meet income requirements Benefit: - Pays Medicare Part B premium only - Benefit may go retroactive 90 days QMB (Qualified Medicare Beneficiary) - Prescriptions are covered under Medicare D - Must currently be eligible for Medicare A - Must meet income requirements Benefit: - Pays for monthly Medicare premiums, deductibles and co-insurance - Eligibility begins the month after the application is approved -Low Income Subsidy (LIS) Individual monthly income limit: $1,610 Married couple monthly income limit: $2,178
