Description: Anciano Tower offers: - Anciano Tower is a subsidized housing community for seniors over the age of 62 and those who are mobility/sensory impaired. The term 'subsidized housing” means that the rent is based on income. A resident of the community pays approximately 30% of their income as rent. - The remainder of the rent is paid in the form of a subsidy. If a resident qualifies for a subsidy, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), a U.S. government agency, will pay the remainder of the rent. - Spacious one-bedroom apartments, as well as a few more accessible apartments for the sensory/mobility impaired. - Currently Anciano Tower has a waiting list. Please call for the approximate waiting time. - There is a one-year lease, - Anciano Tower welcomes pets. Fish and birds are welcomed without a deposit. Small dogs and cats are welcome with a pet deposit. There is a limit of one animal (cat or dog) per apartment and there are specific size and breed restrictions. - The pet deposit is the same amount as the security deposit with a minimum of $50 and a maximum of $300. Arrangements can be made for this deposit. Payment arrangements begin with $50 and then a monthly payment of $10 until the deposit is paid in full. - There is one elevator located in the center of the building, easily accessible by all residents on all floors. Each wing of the building has an elevator. - Anciano Tower has ample parking in the resident parking lot. - There is one laundry center at Anciano Tower, containing four coin-operated washers and four coin-operated dryers with folding and hanging areas and a sink for the convenience of the residents. This center is located on the ground floor. - There is a garbage center on each floor of the building specifically for garbage/recycling purposes. Inside, there is a chute to dispose of trash directly into a dumpster. There are also labeled bins for all recyclables. - Currently the city of Montrose offers a transit service called Just City Run. This service stops at Anciano Tower's door and takes residents along a route throughout the city to a grocery store, departments stores, local restaurants, and other locations. -
