Description: Provides citizens with protection from fire, enforcement of laws, ordinances, and regulations relating to fire prevention and fire safety, and other related functions to insure public safety and minimize loss of life and property damage. Provides provide carbon monoxide and smoke detectors to citizens of qualified low income status.

Eligibility: For the Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detector program, participants must:- Be a resident within the city limits of Pueblo- Be low or fixed income homeowners (receiving SSI, Food Stamps, LEAP, recipients of programs through Senior Resource Development Agency, etc) - Be otherwise unable to purchase or install devices- Agree to a Home Safety Survey performed in the residence at the time of installation Area Served: City of Pueblo
