1st Month's Rent & Security Deposit Assistance

Provides financial assistance (up to $1,500 dollars) toward the 1st month's rent and security deposit for single parent families (child 18 or younger) and seniors aged 60 and older experiencing homelessness who have a monthly income.

Once clients are approved, they will also receive:

• Assistance with food, clothing, furniture, and household items
• Guidance and relationship support from mentors (By volunteer availability)
• Follow-up case management to maintain long-term stable housing

Individuals must:

• be experiencing homelessness
• be a family (at least 1 child aged 0 - 18 with at least 50% legal custody) OR be a senior (aged 60 or older)
• have documented legal employment or Social Security Income (SSI/SSDI) that covers monthly expenses and meets minimum monthly income requirements, at least 60% of rent
• not have a felony in the last 24 months
• not be a registered sex offender or have a violent felony in the past 7 years
• be willing to submit to a background check during the application process
