Description: The Purpose of the CSBG Program is to provide assistance to low and very low-income families and individuals in Fremont, Custer, Chaffee, and lake Counties. The program has limited funds and is not an entitlement program. CSBG funds can provide assistance with utility bills and shut off notices, medications, eviction prevention, mortgage payments, food, auto repairs (if employed), tools, & clothing for employment, home appliance repair/replacement, dental, vision and other services. To Apply: Applications are available at location below and also available online; please bring in the additional documents required as stated on page one of the application. If you do not currently have household income you will also be required to fill out a zero income statement which is also available online. Custer County residents may apply at Custer County Department of Human Services, 205 S 6th St Westcliffe, CO 81252.
