Description: The Good Neighbor Fund exists to help promote a stable workforce in San Miguel County, West Montrose County, Ouray County, and the Town of Rico. The Fund can provide emergency financial assistance to qualified applicants for daily needs such as: -Rent -Mortgage -Medical bills -Car repair -Food assistance -Utility assistance, and more -Applicants must live in Rico, San Miguel County, West Montrose County, or Ouray County for three years straight including the year they apply -They must demonstrate that they have exhausted all other resources, show that they can maintain financial stability outside their non-recurring and unexpected crisis to remain living and working in the defined region. -Once a complete application is received, the applicant may be contacted for an in-person or phone meeting. -All completed applications will be reviewed in complete confidence in order to make a grant allocation decision. -Monies awarded will be in the form of a grant paid directly to the provider of service by the Telluride Foundation. - The maximum grant allotment per application is $1,500 and applicants are eligible to apply once every three years. -Applications and Qualification Criteria can be downloaded online and can be found in English and in Spanish
