Description: The Pinon Project Family Resource Center offers mentoring programs in which mentors and youth participate in activities Youth Empowerment Project provides: -Open gym-Safe space for youth before school starts -HB-1451, Community Evaluation Team and Communities of Excellence-for at risk youth -Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH)-Create a community of healthy youth by providing education surrounding exercise and nutrition. -After School Program (ASP)-Provided in a safe space for youth to hang out while engaging in enrichment opportunities. -Summer Program & School Break Programs-Provides daily activities to help support the development of youth in the community. -Youth Suicide Prevention-Coordinator works in areas of suicide prevention -Friday Funday-For youth 5-17 years old, from 7:30-5:00, all day activities on Fridays for youth -Sources of Strength suicide prevention program (SOS)-Program that works with youth in the school toward suicide prevention. -Check and Connect-Intervention for kids k-12 who show signs of a disengagement with school, at risk of dropping out. -Boys to Men Southwest Colorado (B2MSWC)-Provide positive role models for boys 13-17
