Description: Provides volunteer opportunities for persons aged 55 and older to serve as mentors, tutors, and caregivers for children and youth with special needs. They serve throughout Pueblo County in day care centers, head start programs schools and non-profit agencies. Volunteers receive a tax-free stipend, reimbursement for transportation and accident and liability insurance. They work 15-40 hours a week and must participate in pre-service orientation and training workshops throughout their service.
